One injured in shooting on I-580 freeway in Carson City

UPDATE: Portions of I-580 in Carson City were closed briefly while investigators looked for evidence. The freeway was re-opened shortly before midnight.

A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday morning for suspicion of giving marijuana to a person under 18-years-old, a gross misdemeanor, driving with suspended registration, driving with no insurance, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. After being arrested, he was later booked for statutory sexual seduction, a gross misdemeanor.

Motor vehicle accident partially blocking intersection of Medical Pkwy, Carson Street

Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) and Carson City Firefighter-Paramedics are on scene of a two-vehicle rear-end accident causing some reported injury, extent of which is unknown at this time.

Emergency crews report minor damage to the involved vehicles, which are partially blocking the intersection. Motorists in the area should use extra caution and consider an alternate route of travel as there may be some delays.
