Carson Now is compiling a list of local businesses that are allowed to be open during the COVID-19 closure, similar to the list we created for restaurants doing takeout or delivery.

To include your business on this list, please email kc@carsonnow.org with the name of the business, street address, phone number, website link (if you are taking online orders) and any changes and/or precautions the business is taking due to the virus.

Carson City arrests: Man jailed for suspicion of lewdness with a child

A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday for suspicion of lewdness with a child under the age of 16.

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Friday an injury accident was reported in the intersection of Goni and Hot Springs Road.

Injuries are reported and the intersection is blocked. Motorists need to seek alternate routes. Delays are expected.

Carson City homeless benefit with Tom Petty, Rod Stewart tribute bands, WNC fundraising dinner, wine walk, 'Frozen 2' screening at Carson Mall highlight weekend events

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday for felony drug and warrant charges after deputies were called to the area for a report of suspicious circumstances.

Carson City deputies arrest man for possession of stolen moving truck, secret methamphetamine pipe

A 32-year-old Minden man was arrested in the area of Sonoma and Frontage Road for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the report, deputies ran a records check on an Arizona license plates and deputies advised the vehicle was stolen out of Reno.
