A traffic infraction interdiction operation on Highway 50 West and Golf Club Drive conducted Friday by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team and the Tri-County Gang Unit resulted in a number of drug-related arrests, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday after allegedly attempting to cash a $3,200 check he had stolen earlier from the desk of a car dealership manager, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

More than three pounds of methamphetamine along with weapons were seized and several were arrested Wednesday at a home raid in Carson City following a three-month investigation, according to the Tri-Net drug task force.

Arrest warrants were executed in Carson City and the Bakersfield, California area. During the investigation, a decade long Mexican drug trafficking organization was dismantled in Carson City, according to Sgt. Dan Johnson, Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigation Division of the Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force.

A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday on misdemeanor suspicion of being in violation of a suspended sentence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A California man and woman were arrested Friday on suspicion of credit card fraud after an elaborate computer forgery lab was discovered inside a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The second suspect connected with a residential burglary that happened last month was arrested Thursday, a Carson City sheriff’s lieutenant said.

A 22-year-old Dayton man, wanted in connection with a May 20 residential burglary in Carson City, was arrested Friday in Lyon County and brought back to Carson City where he was booked, a sheriff's deputy said.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested two South Lake Tahoe men Tuesday night after one of them allegedly dropped a wallet on the floor of a casino that contained methamphetamine.

According the the arrest report, security at a casino in the 3800 block of South Carson Street contacted dispatch about finding a lost wallet. The responding deputy opened the wallet and found a piece of folded up paper containing what he suspected was methamphetamine.

A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday at an Airport Road apartment on a gross misdemeanor charge of child neglect and endangerment and a warrant for failure to appear in court, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
