A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday on a felony fugitive from justice warrant and suspected possession of methamphetamine, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Meet at 9 a.m. in the open dirt area near the Nevada Humane Society on Airport Road and Butti Way. The path is 0.8 miles one way, and it takes you along the freeway to North Lompa Lane.

All walks are 1-2 miles with duration of one hour with usually negligible elevation gain, and frequently on paved or smooth paths.

There is absolutely a little bit of everything this weekend. There’s somewhere to volunteer, somewhere to eat some fundraising pancakes, join in an Asian New Year Lion Dance Parade, Beer Crawl in downtown Carson City, and get your Zumba on. I think the eclectic mix of happenings is one of my favorite things about our corner of the world. Learn about Nevada silver screen icons like Marilyn Monroe, aliens, and the King of Rock and Roll during a CCAI Nevada Neighbors presentation by long-time film reviewer, Robin Holabird. Sierra Nevada Forums brings experts from various backgrounds to shed light on difficult and complex topics facing our society.

With Valentine’s Day next week, some people may be in a scramble to find just the right gift for their someone special. Carson City has got you covered. Check out the work of R. A 37-year-old Carson City man faces multiple felony charges including possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen firearm and a warrant for grand larceny of a motor vehicle, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The long-awaited, much-anticipated 800 pound metal eagle sculpture has finally found its permanent home Thursday on the south end of the Carson City freeway.

Someone has taken the holiday's spirit one more step and converted the roadside roundabout decorations and a pine tree to a Christmas tree near Arrowhead and I-580 in Carson City. In addition, one of the statues was transformed into Santa and his helper. Who knows, maybe Santa is the one to decorate this little corner of Carson City?

Shaheen Beauchamp Builders has finished construction on what may be the first speculative warehouse building completed in Carson City in nearly a decade. The 28,500-square-foot building, located at 3320 Research Way, has one tenant already moving in and 10,000 square feet still available for lease. The building is completed and ready for quick occupancy.

I’m always surprised at how busy Tuesdays can get around here. CARSON CITY, Nev. – The northbound U.S. Highway 395 ramp to Interstate 580 Carson City Freeway will be closed Tuesday for installation of updated roadway signage.
