Trailer flip in Washoe Valley causing major traffic back up on freeway

NHP and first responders are on scene.
Motorists should seek alternate routes.

From the spectacular eagle sculptures at either end of the freeway to each of the metal sculptures along the rest of the freeway and on/off-ramps to the landscaping, multi-use path and the patterning on the walls, I remember a group of Master Gardeners from the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension who created what we see today.

His father did not have his cell phone on his person and ran up to the freeway to flag down help.
The little boy is doing well.

According to dispatch a traffic accident involving a child occurred just after 6:20 p.m. Friday evening.
The accident occurred on Northbound I-580 just past 5th Street overpass.
Dispatch advised an accident may have occurred after a child was riding a bike on the freeway.
Firefighting sheep invade Lakeview, almost make it onto freeway in Carson City

According to resident Wade Olds, the neighbors believed the shepherd had fallen asleep and his flock ran away, something straight out of a nursery rhyme.

Carson City deputies arrest man for DUI after driving in wrong direction on freeway with a .345 BAC
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 01/11/2020 - 12:40pmA 30-year-old Reno man was arrested in the area of I-580 and College Parkway for DUI, driving with a revoked license, and driving left of center after driving on the wrong side of the freeway.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to locate a vehicle reported to be driving on northbound in the southbound travel lanes near the I-580, Highway 50 off ramp.

A vehicle pursuit that began in Washoe County ended on the I-580 freeway near Arrowhead in Carson City on Wednesday morning in which two people were taken into custody.

South Carson Street project design finished, bidding process to begin

The project team is pleased to announce the completion of the project design after nearly a year of design progression since the initial public kick-off meeting on December 11, 2018.
