The suspect released the woman and then went into the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife from the drawer and pointed it at the victim in a threatening manner, the report states. At one point the suspect grabbed the daughter and held her against him while he had the blade end of the knife near her throat. While holding her at knife point, he said several times that he was going to kill her, according to the booking report.
The mother attempted to take the knife away from the man by grabbing the hand holding the knife, but the suspect refused to let go of the knife. During the struggle, the mother suffered several lacerations to her left hand, the report states.
