Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Monday morning to a vehicle accident in area of College Parkway and I-580 off ramp.

NV Energy and the Nevada Department of Transportation will do an emergency closure of Interstate 580 in northern Carson City and Washoe Valley this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18, during morning hours to make repairs to power lines damaged by a Washoe County aircraft last month.

All hikes start at 5:30 PM. For the winter, these hikes are moving onto paved paths in town and will be 3-5 miles long and with duration of about 1-1/2 hours. A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Fairview and N. Edmonds drives Thursday at 11:23 a.m. for DUI first offense, open container, and failure to maintain a lane.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle accident in which a vehicle had driven through two fences and had come to a stop in the backyard of a residence on Quinn Drive.

Carson City, Nevada – The Linear Ditch Trail from Saliman Road heading east to the I-580 freeway will be re-opened on Friday, October 12 at 12:00 p.m.

A woman was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the northbound freeway on-ramp to Interstate 580 off westbound East College Parkway.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies responded Saturday night to a report of a strong-armed robbery that allegedly occurred at the 7-11 convenience store on North Carson Street around 8:40 p.m.

CARSON CITY — The Linear Ditch Trail from Saliman Road heading east to the I-580 freeway and the Fairview Drive Pathway from 5th Street to Edmonds Drive are temporarily closed.

A 25-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including a felony, after driving with his high beams on early Sunday morning, and then attempting to throw methamphetamine over a freeway ramp during a traffic stop, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Less smoke in the air Saturday morning brought out hot air balloons that hovered over Carson City. Wildlife were also active early in the wetlands and retention ponds in East Carson City just off the Interstate 580 freeway.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office detectives have determined that the Sunday afternoon report of a shooting in Carson City at the I-580 and College Parkway exit was falsely reported by the victim, Sheriff Ken Furlong said.

Three people were taken into custody Friday morning at 7:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Carson Street, Carson City Sheriff's deputies said, each charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.
