Deputies arrest man for securing a door with a dog leash, driving into stranger's yard
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 04/05/2019 - 10:08amA 25-year-old man was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies in the 1700 block of Stewart Street Thursday evening for DUI drugs, failure to maintain a lane, driving without a driver’s license in possession, driving without a front plate, and driving with an unsecured load.
SET deputies observed a vehicle exiting a parking lot on Winnie Lane and observed it was driving without a front license plate. They also observed there was a full rear lift gate for a Ford Explorer on the roof the car, strapped on top of the roof with a thin dog-leash, which was insufficient to hold the weight of the door.
