Carson City arrests: Man jailed for felony fugitive from justice warrant
Two Carson City men were arrested Monday for suspected felony and misdemeanor offenses, a sheriff's deputy report states.
Jacorey Lamont Mays, 39, and Jermaine Jordan, 34, were taken into custody following a traffic stop near Woodside Drive and Stanton.
Mays was arrested for a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of California. He also faces charges of suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a contempt of court warrant.
Jordan was arrested for suspected felony parole violation, driving without a license, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
According to the arrest report, a sheriff's deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle after noticing it didn't have a rear license plate. The deputy made contact with the driver, Jordan, and the passenger, Mays.
Both were checked for wants and warrants Jordan is on parole and probation with a condition to not associate with convicted felons and to obey all laws. Dispatch further advised to the arresting deputy that Jordan does not have a valid driver's license.
Dispatch advised Mays had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Carson City and a felony no bail warrant out of California.
Both were arrested. Deputy searched Mays and located a meth pipe in his front right pocket and a plastic container with suspected methamphetamine, the report states. Mays was held without bail for the felony warrant and Jordan was held without bail for the suspected parole and probation violation.
In other arrests:
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued Nov. 26, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 5:30 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued out of Incline Village Township Justice Court. Bail: $355.
