Suspects sought in beating, robbery of elderly Gardnerville man
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying four suspects involved in the Oct. 30 home invasion, robbery and beating of an elderly Gardnerville man.
The crime occurred at 12:38 a.m. when the victim was awakened by unknown masked suspects who forced their way into the man's Kimmerling Road home where he lives alone, according to DCSO.
Approximately four masked subjects entered the residence, held down the elderly victim and demanded to know the whereabouts of his valuables. The elderly man, who is in poor health, was beaten unconscious.
The suspects, who were reportedly wearing black beanies, stole property valued at approximately $2,000 and ran from the residence.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to obtain DNA evidence that is currently being processed, and identification on the suspects is pending.
