Celtic Lawn and Landscape shows commitment to local communities with holiday donation
Celtic Lawn and Landscape recently showed its holiday goodwill by giving back to the town of Dayton, Nev. When the owner and employees of Celtic heard that the Dayton Toy Drive had already received 60 applications from families in need of gifts for their children, they came up with a creative way to help.
“It is important for our company and employees to be active community participants,” said John McFadden, owner of Celtic Landscaping and Lawn. “The holidays are a great time for us to share our products, skills and time to give a hand to those in need.”
The company decided to donate 70 sets of lights to Community Roots, Dayton’s nonprofit nursery that gives its Christmas tree sales’ profit to the local toy drive. Community Roots will use some of the lights to decorate, and will give the majority of the lights to local families in need.
Celtic Lawn and Landscape Holiday Lights Services
The donation also highlights Celtic Lawn and and Landcape’s holiday light installation service. The company can supply, install and remove holiday lighting at residences and businesses, and then safely store them until the following season.
The winter service extends the season for the company, which provides landscape construction and maintenance, including both residential and commercial installations and renovations, and maintenance services such as mowing, weeding, aerating and fertilizing. For more information about the range of services, call (775) 246-4538 or see www.celticlawn.net.
Wendy Madson, director of Community Roots and the organizer for the Dayton area toy drive, said, "The generosity in our community has been amazing. This donation of lights ultimately represents the spirit of giving. Our Christmas tree sales benefit the local toy drive, and these lights will really bring out their beauty.”
Christmas tree sales at Community Roots begin on Friday, Nov. 26. The nonprofit nursery is open Monday –Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 12 noon to 9:30 p.m. Trees start at $20, and include Douglas Fir and Noble. The nursery also carries holiday wreaths. For more information about the trees or the local toy drive, please contact Wendy Madson at (775) 250-7884 or (775) 246-7550.
