Carson City sheriff’s bookings: Deputies make DUI, obstructing, warrant arrests
Two men were arrested on charges following a traffic stop Friday night in the area of Anderson and William streets, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Isai Ramirez, 27, was booked for felony Nevada Parole and Probation violation. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing. The other man, 36, faces misdemeanor charges of failure to appear in court for a traffic citation, driving on a suspended registration and driving with a suspended license. Bail: $904.
In other arrests:
— A 32-year-old Rancho Cordova, Calif. woman, Javarrah Elizabeth Gillespie, was booked Friday into Carson City jail at 10:30 p.m. for a felony parole and probation hold, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. She is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 11:40 p.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing an officer and a failure to appear for a contempt of court warrant.
The man verbally identified himself with a different name, date of birth and did not know his Social Security number. After several minutes of questioning the man gave the correct information. He had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Carson City Justice Court. He was booked for obstructing and the warrant. Bail: $912.
— A 72-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested Friday, 5:33 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. to a casino parking lot where security was attempting to keep the very intoxicated man from driving.
A friend of the man’s arrived on scene and it was agreed the intoxicated man stay with his friend who lived nearby and not to return to the parking lot and not to drive.
At approximately 5 p.m. the man returned and drove away in his Ford truck. Deputies returned and looked for the truck.
Dispatch advised the truck again returned to the parking lot. Deputies then asked the man if he would perform field sobriety tests. The man agreed.
The man then took a cigarette out and placed it in his mouth. The officer told the man not to light it. The man took an aggressive stance and challenged the officer from stopping him from lighting up, saying “I want you to try to stop me from lighting this motherf***er right now,” the arrest report states.
The man was arrested for suspicion of DUI. When he was read the request for evidentiary testing the man told the deputy: “I’ll give you blood if you shut the f**k up,” the arrest report states. Bail: $1,132.
— A Dayton man was booked into jail Friday, 11 a.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued May 16, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,055.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday in the area of Rand Avenue for gross misdemeanor concealing and destroying evidence and misdemeanor smoking marijuana in public, a sergeant with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team said. Bail: $3,137.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 10:45 a.m. in the 500 block of East Long Street for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a residence for a dispute.
A male subject said his girlfriend had left, that his son was the only one in the residence and that his girlfriend’s mother called the police, the report states.
The woman was observed approximately 4 door east. An officer attempted to walk her to the residence to gather some of her property. The suspect would not let her or the officer enter the residence. He was told several times to move away from the door and he refused to comply. He was arrested for suspicion of obstructing. Bail: $412.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 1:29 p.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Aug. 30, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Friday, 2 p.m. for two misdemeanor warrants, violation of a suspended sentence and contempt of court. Bail: $1,289.
— A 39-year-old Burlingame, Calif. man was booked into jail Friday, 2p.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court warrant issued Feb. 6, 2017. Bail: $955.
