Carson City deputies make arrests for restraining order violation, DUI
A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Friday morning for misdemeanor violation of a restraining order, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
The man was arrested at 12:14 a.m. in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue. According to the arrest report, he was issued the restraining order Thursday and was seen entering the apartment he was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from. Bail: $1,000.
In other arrests:
— A 28-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Thursday, 11:53 p.m., at the northbound off-ramp of I-580 and Highway 50 East for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and open container, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man admitted consuming four, 12-ounce beers earlier and smoked a “bowl” of marijuana. He agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .109, the report states.
While taking inventory of the vehicle, officers located a six pack of beer missing one beer and a half bottle of whiskey. Bail: $1,329.
