Carson City arrests: Two jailed for misdemeanor warrants
A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1100 block of N. Saliman Road early Saturday morning on a warrant out of Sparks Municipal Court, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
The man was arrested after deputies witnessed a man wearing all black run across Saliman from Como Street. Deputies rolled down their window and asked the man why he was running. He told them he was trying to catch his ride before they left the gas station on William and Rand.
Deputies asked for his name, and he identified himself. Deputies told him he could keep running so he didn’t miss his ride. However, dispatch advised he had a warrant for failing to appear on a traffic ticket out of Sparks Municipal Court.
The warrant was issued on June 4 with a $990 cash only bail. Deputies turned around and detained the man on the warrant and placed him into custody. Bail: $990 cash only.
