Carson City Sheriff's Office: Keep valuables secure during Epic Rides weekend
This weekend Carson City will host the third annual Epic Rides, an annual cycling event that brings riders from across the country and around the world. Being as this is a large event with money involve, not only from vendors, sponsors, businesses and riders alike, there is always an influx of expensive bicycles and associated gear.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone in the area, visitors and residents, to please take the appropriate actions to ensure the safety and security of all belongings you bring to enjoy at the event.
Please remember to lock your vehicles, put valuables away and out of sight, don’t leave purses and wallets visible in vehicles and keep keys in your possession.
We would like to remind everyone to ensure you secure and store bicycles and associated gear. Please do not leave bicycles unattended or unlocked for any period of time.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Explorers will have a bike valet staffed at City Hall, 201 North Carson Street, for donations. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Explorers will be working from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 15. On Saturday, June 16, they will be available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. And then again Sunday, June 17, from 6 a.m. to noon.
