Carson City emergency crews respond to motorcycle crash, rider flees the scene
Carson City emergency crews responded Thursday afternoon to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Stewart and William streets in which the motorcycle rider fled the scene. He was found later located and detained in the 800 block of North Carson Street.
The crash was reported at around 2:40 p.m. The rider, who reportedly suffered injuries, was up and moving around before he took off running from the crash, according to first responders.
The rider was described as wearing black pants, and having a black and red motorcycle helmet. The man detained was 41 years old. Carson City Fire Department was called to the scene due to injuries the rider sustained from the crash.
Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies are conducting traffic control.
