Nevada Humane Society May dining fundraiser gets $2,000 donation from Cafe at Adele's
Cafe at Adele’s in Carson City presented the Nevada Humane Society a check for $2,000 Friday from the May 26 Bone Appetit fundraiser at the restaurant.
Adele’s owners Karen and Charlie Abowd made the donation, which was 25 percent of the restaurant’s total sales for the all-day event. It was Cafe at Adele’s first fundraiser for Nevada Humane Society.
“What they do is priceless. An invaluable, much needed service and a great asset for the community,” said Karen Abowd.
Kimberly Wade, Senior Manager of Communications and Events for the Nevada Humane Society, praised the Abowds for the donation and partnership with the homeless pets project.
“We’re happy to have their support as we move forward with the future opening of the new animal shelter,” said Wade.
