Carson City woman jailed for domestic battery after punching man following laundry dispute
A 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive on Friday evening for domestic battery first after deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a person who was attempting to gain access into other tenants’ vehicles, according to a sheriff's deputy report.
Deputies located a woman dispatch described, who had “sores all over her body” and deputies found it was difficult to determine if she had any fresh injuries.
She told deputies that she and her ex-boyfriend had gotten into an argument regarding laundry. She said she did not want to do her laundry, and the ex-boyfriend attempted to get her into his vehicle.
She said that while at the vehicle she saw another tenant with a black trash bag, and she believed the other tenant was robbing her so she began to yell at him, the report states.
The ex-boyfriend attempted to keep her away from the tenant, she told deputies, but he never put his hands on her, the report states.
Deputies spoke to the ex-boyfriend who confirmed the story, adding that when he got in-between her and the other tenant carrying the black trash bag, the woman punched him with a closed fist on the side of his head. Deputies noted his left ear was red and discolored.
When deputies told the woman she was being arrested, the woman attempted to run. She was transported to the jail without incident. Bail: $3,137.
