Obituary: Jeffrey Lee Thompson
Jeffrey L. Thompson passed unexpectedly on March 15, 2019 due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident.
Jeff was born Jan 17, 1957 in Jamestown, New York.
He was born to the late Melvin Thompson and Kay (Tolman) Thompson.
He is survived by his wife Lynda, of 30 years, his two children Haley (22), and Jake (24), his mother Kay Hitchcock of Gerry, NY and his 5 siblings: Linda, Randy, Donna, Vicki, and Brian, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Jeffrey worked in trucking for 19 years in the Reno, Nevada area where he resided for 35 years. He then worked in dairy manufacturing for several years before his death.
As a contributing member of his community he coached various youth sports teams and umpired baseball in Nevada and Pennsylvania. He was passionate about sports, specifically the Nevada Wolfpack and the San Francisco Giants. Most of all, however, he loved his family and was a faithful and loving provider, husband, and parent.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Crossroads Bible Church, Dillsburg, PA.
