Maintenance and more: Carson City area road report for week of April 15-21

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of April 15-21, 2019. Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road maintenance and utility work:

— Fifth Street will be closed between Carson Street and Stewart Street, Monday through Wednesday, 4:30 p.m to 6:30 p.m.

— Ann Street will be closed between Nevada Street and Curry Street, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

— Division Street will be closed at the intersection of Ann Street, Monday through Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road maintenance and utility work:

— E. Clearview Drive will have intermittent lane closures between Edmonds Drive and Carson Street, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— W. Clearview Drive will be reduced to a single lane between Curry Street and Voltaire Street, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

— Edmonds Drive will be reduced to a single lane between Fairview Drive and Lompa Lane, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

— 5th Street will be reduced to a single lane between Linda Kay Court and Parkland Avenue, Thursday and Friday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

— Mountain Street will have reduced lanes between Topaz Drive and Marlette Drive, Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Washington Street will have reduced lanes between Mountain Street and Minnesota Street, Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Lompa Lane will be reduced to a single lane between Menlo Drive and Modoc Court, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Adaline Street may be reduced to a single lane between Nevada Street and Division Street, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Telegraph Square may have lane reductions, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— Eastlake Blvd under I-580 will have reduced lanes, Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— U.S. 395 at the Carson River bridge will have reduced lanes, Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Carson River Road at the Carson River bridge will have reduced lanes, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— North Deer Run at the Carson River bridge will have reduced lanes, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, single lane closures will take place this coming week in Carson City and Carson Valley for Nevada Department of Transportation routine ridge inspections.

Expect minor delays on Eastlake Blvd under I-580 in south Washoe Valley as traffic flagger alternates directions of travel for routine bridge inspection April 16 8am-3pm. Shoulder closures on both directions of I-580 as well.

Single lane closures will take place on both directions of U.S. 395 at the Carson River in northern Carson Valley April 17, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.

— North Deer Run Road at Carson River in eastern Carson City will be reduced to one lane April 18 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for routine bridge inspection. Expect minor delays as traffic flagger alternates directions of travel.

— Carson River Road at Carson River in Carson City will be reduced to one lane April 18 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for routine bridge inspection. Expect minor delays as traffic flagger alternates directions of travel.

The Nevada Department of Transportation inspects the majority of bridges, including city and county-maintained structures, every two years. Bridges with more extensive deterioration are inspected more often, while select newer bridges are inspected every four years. NDOT’s dedicated bridge inspection and rehabilitation program has helped Nevada bridges to be named the nation’s best for five consecutive years.
