Free women’s self defense seminar Saturday
Carson ATA Martial Arts - Karate for Kids is providing a free community Women’s Self Defense seminar on Saturday, March 28. The event, starting at 10 a.m at Carson ATA Martial Arts, will cover topics such as situational awareness, defending against a stronger attacker, escaping bear hugs, chokes, wrist grabs, as well as what to do if taken to the ground.
Participants will get hands on experience practicing safety and self defense techniques in a safe and controlled environment.
“At our past self defense seminars, we have taught women how to avoid, safely disengage and prevail in real life self defense situations and know our self defense seminars have saved the lives of at least two women,” said Shawn Goodner, 3rd Degree Black Belt and Owner. “It’s my 100 percent convicted belief that every single woman on this planet should be able to adequately defend themselves from a bigger, stronger, aggressive male attacker. These seminars are my way of ensuring women don’t become a statistic, but become a survivor.”
This seminar will fill up quickly and participants are encouraged to register soon by calling (775) 883-5425 or emailing carsonata@gmail.com.
