Carson City sheriff's log: Deputies make several warrant arrests

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested for a misdemeanor failure to obey citation warrant and use of fictitious registration, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, the suspect was stopped in the 4100 block of South Carson Street after a deputy did a records check on the vehicle's license plate and it returned suspended.

A further records check of the suspect showed a confirmed active warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear on a traffic citation.

At that point, the suspect was booked and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $410.

In other arrests:
— A 37 year-old Carson City woman was arrested late Friday night at 11:45 p.m. at the Carson City Jail for violation of a suspended sentence, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The suspect had absconded on her probation, the report said. Bail: $3,000.

— A 39 year-old Dayton woman was arrested Friday night at 8:15 p.m. at the Carson City Jail for an active failure to appear warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The suspect transported to the jail by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. She was then taken into custody and booked. Bail: $1,000.

— A 22 year-old Wellington man was arrested Thursday night at 7:40 p.m. in the area of Stewart Street and Wright Way on an active outside agency warrant, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The suspect was taken into custody following a traffic stop of his vehicle for no functioning license plate light and no front license plate, the report said.

A records checks of the suspect confirmed an outstanding warrant from East Fork Justice Court in Douglas County. He was then handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $500.

— A 38 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday afternoon at 5:25 p.m. in the 3100 block of Bunch Way on an active failure to appear warrant out of the East Fork Justice Court in Douglas County, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The suspect was taken into custody following a call to a residence to keep the peace, the arrest report said. Dispatch advised law enforcement that one party had an arrest warrant from Douglas County.

Upon making contact with the parties, the suspect was identified and confirmed to have an outstanding warrant. She was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Carson City Jail. Bail: $238.

— A 33 year-old Reno man was arrested Friday morning at 9:10 a.m. at the Carson City Jail on an active contempt of court warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The man was transported by Nevada Department of Corrections and handed over to jail staff for booking. Bail: $500.

— A 31 year-old Dayton man was arrested Friday morning at 8:54 a.m. at the Carson City Sheriff's Office on an outstanding failure to appear warrant otu of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The man turned himself in to deputies at the front counter of the sheriff's office, the report said. A records check confirmed the active arrest warrant and the subject's identity was verified. He was handcuffed and escorted to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $500.

— A 22 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday afternoon at 12:37 p.m. at the Carson City Sheriff's Office on an outstanding contempt of court warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The woman's identity was verified and the active warrant confirmed by records check. She was taken into custody and escorted to the jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
