Ronald Bratsch announces candidacy for Ward 4 Carson City Board of Supervisor seat
Ronald Bratsch, a Carson City Veteran, Security Manager and longtime fiscal conservative is announcing his candidacy for Carson City Supervisor Ward 4.
Ron began his career in the National Guard and later enlisted in the Marine Corps. Several years later he began his own security business which employed 130 officers. After selling his business and relocating to Northern Nevada, Ron worked as a Correctional Officer in Carson City.
Ron volunteered his services to the Administration Regulation Committee, then received the Governor’s appointment to the Board for Public Employees Benefit Program. At Western Nevada College Ron completed coursework in financial and managerial accounting.
Ron has been married over 30 years with two adult children, two grandchildren, and two very energetic Labrador Retrievers.
As a previous business owner, Ron has an understanding and passion for supporting local businesses. He has demonstrated the ability to meet realistic goals and operating within budget. Ron understands that our community needs to work together to bring unity to the forefront All voice and opinions need to be heard.
At a recent Board of Supervisors meeting Ron observed how a lack of financial planning will impact the Community. I think we need to plan better for tomorrow not spend our future.
However, the Quill Treatment Plant is very important to the waste management and definitely needed funding. The Board of Supervisors approved a 12.5 million dollar bond sale to fund a Capital Improvement plan project. I believe that being pro-active to community necessities is more effective than resulting to last minute, expensive bond measures. Lets work together and plan a future that will not have to burden our Carson City residence pocket books.
On a personal note Ron says:
“I love serving in my community, volunteering at my church, helping at Veterans’ events, serving at Friend In Service Helping (FISH) events and youth sporting events. As supervisor, I will continue serving the community with integrity and diligence.”
