Carson City feasts on chocolate Saturday to benefit AAUW Capital Branch
Valentine's Day at the Plaza Hotel Events Center in Carson City was celebrated a few days early on Saturday with the 20th annual Feast of Chocolate, a fundraising benefit for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Capital Branch.
A banquet room full of guests sampled a buffet of delectable chocolate treats prepared by the Carson High School Culinary Arts Department, A Catered Affair, Artisan Cafe and Red's Old 395 Grill in Carson City.
Proceeds from the feast will provide funding for local scholarships, as well as AAUW fellowships and programs.
Scholarships are awarded to female students at Carson High and Dayton High, as well as to women students resuming their education at Western Nevada College.
