Carson City man jailed on suspicion of domestic battery also had an arrest warrant
A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:25 a.m. in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of domestic battery and having a confirmed warrant.
According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy was flagged down by security at a casino who advised there was a woman in the parking lot asking for police.
The deputy made contact with the couple and asked the man what was going on, never once implying a physical altercation had happened, the arrest report states. The man said, "I don't know. It was just rough sex. We like when I grab her arms and am on top of her," the man told the deputy.
The man said he and the woman had been arguing over gambling but it was never a physical confrontation and denied having hit or touched the woman, the arrest report states. The deputy didn't observe any marks or injuries on the man.
The woman told the deputy that she and the man were dating and had gotten a room at the casino the previous night. She said the man became drunk and angry inside the room. She told the deputy the man threw a beer bottle at her, grabbed her arms and neck and then shoved her against a wall, according to the arrest report.
The woman said she tried to get away, but that he punched her in the mouth with a closed fist and told her she couldn't leave the room, the arrest report states. The woman told the deputy that she was in fear for her safety, so she complied and tried to sleep but as soon as they left to check out of the room, she began to seek help, the report states.
The woman had several marks on her arms, neck, chest and face including a fat lip. A second deputy took photographs of the woman's injuries and booked them into evidence. Dispatch advised the man had a confirmed warrant for his arrest, dated Dec. 18, 2013, for violation of Alternative Sentence. He was arrest for the warrant and for domestic battery. Bail: $,6,137.
