Carson City deputies make arrests for domestic battery, obstructing and warrants
A 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday in the 500 block of Roop Street for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, a sheriff's report says.
Deputies were called to investigate a domestic battery between a male and female, according to the report. The male victim explained to officers that an argument happened, that he attempted to leave the situation, and that he was pushed, kicked and scratched. Deputies saw several red marks and scratches on his chest and stomach area.
Deputies interviewed the suspect who admitted to pushing the man, and said the scratches came from a cat. When the officer told her the scratches were too thick to be from a cat, she said she grabbed him as he was attempting to walk past her, the report states.
Deputies investigating learned the argument led to both pushing and shoving each other, with the female preventing the male from leaving. The female was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested. Bail: $3,137.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 1600 block of Old Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing. According to the arrest report, the female provided a false name to a police officer, changing her story about where she was from.
During the investigation, deputies located a court document out of Carson City Justice Court with the woman's real name on it. She was arrested for obstructing. Bail: $412.
— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday in the 1600 block of East Long Street for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Dec. 17, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of violation of a restraining order. According to the arrest report, he had sent a text message, a violation of the order. Bail: $3,000.
— A 36-year-old man was booked into jail Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant out of Reno Township Justice Court. Bail: $5,000.
