History of the U.S. Cavalry Coming to Nevada Fair
First Nevada Cavalry, Troop D in conjunction with the Nevada Civil War Volunteers is pleased to announce the inaugural Nevada Civil War Volunteers Horse Soldier Exhibition at the Nevada Fair. This July 30 event will occur at 6 p.m. in the Fuji Park Rodeo Arena in Carson City, Nev.
Attendees can expect to bear witness to excellent demonstrations of military horsemanship, drill, and history, as Troop D takes them on a journey through the 'glory days' of the United States Cavalry. Entrance is free and open to all members of the public.
Additionally, throughout the weekend Troop D and the Nevada Civil War Volunteers will be encamped behind Clear Creek in Fuji Park from Wednesday evening until Sunday afternoon. We sincerely hope to see all of our fans there this July 30th at the Nevada Fair!
The 1st Nevada Cavalry of today is a nonprofit historical reenactment and service organization in the Northern Nevada/California area that serves to preserve the tradition of the American Cavalryman.
