Carson River Watershed 'Get on the Bus' Tour
Join us for a fun and informative two-day Carson River Watershed tour on June 7-8. Meet at Smith's parking lot each day to "Get on the Bus" and travel the upper watershed from Alpine County to Carson City on Day 1, June 7, and from Carson City to Fallon on Day 2, June 8.
Lunch and snacks included each day. Stops include East Fork Carson River restoration sites, Washington Fire area, Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park, TNC's River Fork Ranch, Carson River Park, Rolling A Ranch, Buckland Station, Lahontan Dam, Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Wetlands & Churchill County Museum.
Topics to be covered include water rights, river restoration projects, water quality and quantity, floodplain management, invasive species, agriculture, recreation, fisheries and habitat and education/outreach programs.
