Celebration of Life for Donna Curtis set for April 20 at Fuji Park
There will be a "Celebration of the Life and Times of Donna Curtis" on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the dog park at Fuji Park in Carson City. Curtis died Nov. 1, 2018.
In 2013, Donna Curtis spearheaded the purchase of a memorial bench on behalf of Carson City Democratic Women in the new off-leash dog park at the west end of Fuji Park.
It was a project that was a dream of Donna's that she worked tirelessly as a member of the Carson City Parks Commission.
The celebration of life will be held at the park on Saturday, April 20. There will be an 11 a.m. dedication and memorial. The community is invited and are encouraged to bring a story to share.
There will be a 12 p.m. food and social at Red's Old 395 Grill in the back room, 10055 South Carson Street.
The celebration of Donna Curtis is hosted by the Carson City Democratic Women's Club and the family of Donna Curtis, Sheila Vance and Gordon Mackenzie.
