Carson City Dutch Bros. and Food For Thought Share the Love Valentine’s Day
Local business and area non-profit join forces in a new fundraising effort. Dutch Bros. is sponsoring a Dutch Luv Day to benefit Food For Thought in Carson City. This Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2016, Dutch Bros. will donate $1 to Food For Thought for every drink purchased at the Carson City location during their regular business hours:5 am till 11 pm.
“We are excited to partner with Dutch Bros. and appreciate all the support the company and community has shown our organization. Food For Thought representatives will be at the Carson City Dutch Bros. location on the 14th to answer questions about Food For Thought’s efforts to combat food insecurity in our area. We look forward to seeing you there,” said Marlene Maffei, Executive Director of Food For Thought.
Food For Thought, Inc. is a local non-profit organization combating food insecurity with one simple focus: Prevent area children from going hungry on weekends and during the summer. Local elementary, middle, and high school children can participant in the Backpack Program and receive a bag of food on Fridays at their school for consumption over the weekend. Hundreds of meals are distributed every week during the school year.
