SC Beauty Company opens shop in Carson City; hiring for stylists, techs

Jerzykowski started her career in beauty by attending the Redken International Academy of Style in 2018, before continuing to expand her knowledge at the Paul Mitchell School in Reno.

The powersports store, selling everything from dirt bikes to ATVs, snowmobiles and everything in between, has operated in Carson City since the 80s.

The casino’s construction began in late 2021 by Shaheen Beauchamp Builders, and according to Pat Beauchamp, the casino held a soft opening in November.

Carson City's The Tap Shack finds new owners, old name

Owners Sandra and Walter Owens purchased the bar in November from the newest owners, who turned the bar into Tap @ Rice Street in March of 2021.
Sandra grew up in the restaurant business, as her grandparents owned the famous Christmas Tree Restaurant on Mt. Rose Highway.
"My first job was as a dish washer in their restaurant," Sandra said. "I've been in the industry ever since."
