Carson City area gaming revenue up 11 percent in September, 7.87 percent statewide
Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for south shore Lake Tahoe had a combined gaming revenue amount of $11,842,530 for the month.
Meanwhile, casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe reported a 394.86 percent increase in revenue over September 2021, and that's largely due to the closure of Highway 50 and the weeklong casino core closure at Stateline a year ago because of the Caldor Fire.
Casinos at Stateline shut down in late August into early September due to the Caldor Fire. Highway 50 was also closed, making it difficult for travelers from northern California to get to south shore Lake Tahoe via the popular highway route.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,248,849,025 for the month of September 2022. This amounts to a 7.87 percent increase compared to September 2021, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,157,784,726. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022), gaming win has increased 2.42 percent.
Casinos in Washoe County, Reno, Sparks and North Lake Tahoe all had gaming revenue increases for the month of September.
