Nearly two dozen talented artists from multiple countries are getting ready to paint the town in Carson City this fall. The inaugural Murals and Music Festival, Sept. 28-30, will bring local, national, and international artists to Carson City to paint murals live throughout the city.

The 34th annual Dayton Valley Days will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16-17 in Old Town Dayton, and will feature gold panning, a Show and Shine, silent auction and a pet parade.

Congratulations to Christa McLaughlin. Her oil painting, "Tidepools" was voted People's Choice from the Nevada Artists Association Art Gallery's "Summer Show." This means a cash award for Christa and her painting will be on exhibit and for sale through Oct. 20.
