Married Dayton Couple identified as two deceased victims in fatal Carson City crash

A married couple from Dayton was identified as the two deceased victims in the crash in Carson City which resulted in multiple injuries according to the Washoe County Medical Examiner.

70-year-old Tana Powell was pronounced dead on the scene.

Her husband Don Powell, 74, was pronounced dead after arriving at Renown Regional Medical Center by CareFlight.

Multiple helicopters and ambulances were called to the scene due to the extensive injuries suffered by victims of the crash.

The driver of the truck that caused the crash after allegedly pulling a large boat far over the capacity of the truck’s capabilities was jailed with multiple charges related to the crash.
