The Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigations division is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who used a key to open cash registers at Walmart on Christmas Eve.

Additional warrant charges were made Monday following an arrest this weekend of two Carson City adults suspected of stealing merchandise from local stores, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Two were arrested Sunday on felony charges of grand larceny after they allegedly attempted to steal more than $700 in merchandise for Kohl’s department store, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. One of the two also faces an additional felony charge after an alleged theft of more than $680 in merchandise at Walmart.
