While the majority of the United States don’t celebrate their Statehood, those that do participate don’t have quite the same gusto for the celebration that Carson City does.

The Capital City Community Band will present its annual Nevada Day free concert at 2:00P.M. on Saturday, October 27th in the Capital Amphitheater.
The concert will feature variety of music from Dixieland to Marches to Patriotic songs. A special feature will be “Home Means Nevada” by Marine Band arranger Sgt. Scott Ninmer.
The arrangement will feature Doug Thunder, a forty-one-year member of the band, on Euphonium.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public’s assistance in locating Erin.
Erin Zellner was reported missing on October 16 2018. Erin Zellner was last seen on October 12 2018 leaving her children with a family member in Carson City. Erin was described as a danger to herself by family members.
Erin is described as 5’06”, 195 pounds with Blonde or Brown hair and blue eyes.

Missing person Erin Zellner has been located in South Lake Tahoe by South Lake Tahoe Police. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public’s assistance in locating Erin.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in locating an endangered Carson City woman.
Erin Zellner age was reported missing on October 16 2018. Erin Zellner was last seen on October 12 2018 leaving her children with a family member in Carson City. Erin was described as a danger to herself by family members.
Transient man arrested for failing to register after harassing grocery store customers
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Thu, 10/18/2018 - 9:46am—A 57-year-old transient man was arrested in the parking lot of a Carson City grocery store early Friday morning on the charge of an ex-felon failing to register.
Deputies were called to the grocery store on reports of an intoxicated male harassing customers. When the man was asked to leave by employees, the man took a shopping cart for personal use and attempted to leave the property with the cart.
