Williams Avenue in Fallon.

Thursday hike to Clear Creek Trail, sponsored by Muscle Powered
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 09/14/2018 - 6:33pmThis week's hike has CHANGED to the new Clear Creek Trail. Since Nevada State Parks is closing some of the trails for forest management, the original trail advertised, Tahoe Rim Trail Spooner Summit-North will closed.
The meeting place has not changed. We will still meet at Highway 50 Park and Ride where we will carpool up to Spooner Summit to park in the south parking lot for the Tahoe Rim Trail.
The Clear Creek Trail begins just east of the bathroom and is accessed via the Forest Service Road just east of the bathroom.

Comstock Water History Tour at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park on September 22

We’ll follow the remnants of the historic Virginia Gold Hill Water Company flumes and pipes, and discuss Comstock history.
Please be prepared for a day of driving through the backcountry, and some short hikes as we stop along the way.
Vehicles are provided.
Bring lunch, water, sturdy boots and sunscreen, and dress for the weather.
The tour will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, and will end at the same location by 4 p.m.

Many around South Lake Tahoe know Howie from his number one morning drive radio show "Howie's Morning Rush" on KRLT-FM (krltfm.com) and from his years of comedy on the South Shore. He has long been a staple in the world of stand up. How long? There's a plaque with his name on it near the entrance of South Lake Tahoe that's he's called home now for almost 18 years.
