Carson City Sheriff's Office investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect who allegedly used stolen credit cards from a vehicle burglary to make purchases at local stores.

UPDATE: According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, the fire wasn't a fire but steam from a steam line that blew a valve. NDOC appreciates the quick response of the firefighters, first responders, and deputies, said a NDOC spokesman.

Multiple units of firefighters, first responders and sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Warm Springs Prison on report of a structure fire inside the prison Friday afternoon.

According to dispatch the fire was reported to be near class rooms, and inmates were being secured while responders were enroute.

The reporting party stated they knew the man, who was banging on their front door and their kitchen window. The man in question is under supervision with the Department of Alternative Sentencing and had a condition to not contact the victim, who was the man’s ex-girlfriend.

Carson City's historic 'Adele's' building will not be saved despite donations, volunteers

According to Shannon Cord with the Carson City Historical Society, the historic Adele’s building will not be saved despite the efforts of many volunteers and contributors.

The historic building suffered a fire in 2019 that, due to smoke damage and insurance issues, was not able to be recovered. It was set for demolition, until a group of activists form the Carson City Historical Society sought to save the building and have it moved to a new location.

A 44-year-old Carson City woman and a 61-year-old Carson City man were arrested in the 2600 block of Blossom View Lane Friday afternoon for suspicion of felony child abuse, possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking a controlled substance level 1.

According to the report, Robin Marie Jensen and Steven Scott Brown were arrested by Tri-NET Narcotic Task Force detectives after receiving information that Jensen and Brown were actively selling methamphetamine out of their residence.
