Carson City Fire Department knock down fire at mobile home near Airport and Sherman
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday afternoon to a structure fire in the 2300 block of Airport Road near Sherman Lane.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Carson City dispatch was alerted to a structure fire inside a mobile home. Carson City Fire Department first responders arriving on scene at the corner of Sherman and Airport Road reported a double-wide mobile home with smoke showing.
The residence was reportedly unoccupied. There were dogs at the home at the time and all were removed from the house and safe, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported to be knocked down at 3:44 p.m. The cause is under investigation. Red Cross has been contacted as two adults and a number of dogs, possibly as many as four, have been displaced.
East Fork Fire Protection District and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District were also called for a mutual assist.
