4-H 2017 Annual Fabric and Rummage Sale Fast Approaching

Sewing notions, crafting items, sewing machines, etc. are all welcome donations. Donation Days drop off location this year will be at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Office, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 15, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 and 28. Please note the location change from previous years. If you have large items to donate, please call 887-2252 in advance.

The Harvest Train Festival and Pumpkin Patch at the Nevada State Railroad Museum is a good place to start. Take the costumed kids to a Trunk or Treat at Advantage Auto Works off Old Hot Springs Road courtesy of the members of Carson Cruise Meet and Greet. Team up with Mark Twain for a ghostly tour of our haunted downtown or you can choose a shorter tour that’s perfect for families. Keep reading, this is just the tip of the candy corn.

Downtown will be rocking tonight as the Carson High Class of 86 celebrates their reunion in Telegraph Square with two live bands. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Just down the street, Living the Good Life welcomes Southbound Train followed by DJ Bobby G. Fuji Park is the place to be for cowboys, broncs, and a great concert celebrating Carson City.

Beware that quite a few of our downtown streets will be closed and there will be bikes everywhere. Live music can be found at a stage on Musser Street, the Brewery Arts Center, and most all of our casinos. A huge welcome goes out to those in town for the Annual Pow Wow at Stewart Indian School. Don't forget that Fathers' Day is Sunday: plenty of our local shops have something just perfect for the man in your life.
