Carson City Scores 50 out of 100 in LGBTQ Human Rights Index Survey

RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- The city of Reno reported Thursday it received a perfect score on the 2018 Municipal Equality Index, a Human Rights Campaign rating system of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) inclusion in city law and policy.

It is a 31-point improvement since its first assessment in 2013. The city scored 91 on the initial 2018 assessment, with less-than-perfect ratings because of non-discrimination laws and municipal services.

Carson Tahoe's Think Pink fundraiser generates thousands for Breast Cancer Awareness

Carson Tahoe Health and Red's Old 395 Grill in Carson City partnered Monday to host their annual kick-off event, "Think Pink," a campaign for breast cancer awareness.
