The Carson City Host Lions Club is pleased to announce the winning entries in the Nevada Day Chalk Art Contest held on Oct. 31. The contest was open to all Carson City residents, households and businesses. Contestants created chalk art masterpieces on their own driveways or sidewalks based on the Nevada Day theme of “My Favorite Moment in Nevada.”

A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery after allegedly throwing oranges and a TV remote at the male victim and then twisting his private parts when he attempted to call for help.
