The Carson City Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect allegedly involved in elder exploitation. The suspect used an elderly woman's debit card, made several purchases and withdrew several hundred dollars in cash.

UPDATE 8:26PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol has confirmed one person has died in the Tuesday night crash at Highway 50 near Airport Road. The cause is under investigation. One vehicle involved left the scene of the crash. NHP had earlier advised it was looking for a suspect vehicle with heavy front end damage. At 8:41 p.m., NHP advised it was no longer looking for the vehicle. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

UPDATE 8:05PM: Care Flight air ambulances have taken patients from the separate crashes that happened Tuesday night on Highway 50 East and Highway 50 West to the hospital, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Hannah DeGoey.

The aircraft known as "Sentimental Journey," tail number N9323Z, was at the Minden-Tahoe Airport from Sept. 3 through Sept. 8. During this time the public was able to crawl though the aircraft, to see what it was like to be in a real WWII bomber, and was also able to purchase tickets for rides in various locations within the plane. A 49-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of multiple felony counts burglary and other charges, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 32-year-old Carson City man as arrested Tuesday in the area of Roop and Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of destruction of property, a sheriff's deputy report said.

Carson City resident and fishing enthusiast Kevin Andrews sent us photos of his latest catch, a very large, largemouth bass he caught Wednesday on the Carson River which may either be a record-breaker for the river or pretty close.

Nevada-based contracting firm CORE Construction is expanding its influence in the Reno community with updates to key staff and impactful projects.

The firm announced the promotion of Travis Coombs to Vice President of their Northern Nevada operations. Since entering the construction industry in 2001, he has established trusting relationships with design partners, building partners and clients. Coombs joined CORE in 2013 and has served in several departments. In his new role, he will now lead business strategy and development Northern Nevada.

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony burglary and possession of stolen property after the victim discovered their stolen air conditioning unit was propped in their neighbor's apartment window, a sheriff's deputy report said.

Northern Nevada Development Authority on Friday announced its economic development service area has been expanded to include Mineral County.
