Carson City investigators seeks identity of suspect who stole debit card from elderly person

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect allegedly involved in elder exploitation. The suspect used an elderly woman's debit card, made several purchases and withdrew several hundred dollars in cash.

NHP: One confirmed dead in crash at Highway 50 East near Airport Road in Carson City

UPDATE 8:26PM: The Nevada Highway Patrol has confirmed one person has died in the Tuesday night crash at Highway 50 near Airport Road. The cause is under investigation. One vehicle involved left the scene of the crash. NHP had earlier advised it was looking for a suspect vehicle with heavy front end damage. At 8:41 p.m., NHP advised it was no longer looking for the vehicle. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

UPDATE 8:05PM: Care Flight air ambulances have taken patients from the separate crashes that happened Tuesday night on Highway 50 East and Highway 50 West to the hospital, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Hannah DeGoey.

The aircraft known as "Sentimental Journey," tail number N9323Z, was at the Minden-Tahoe Airport from Sept. 3 through Sept. 8. During this time the public was able to crawl though the aircraft, to see what it was like to be in a real WWII bomber, and was also able to purchase tickets for rides in various locations within the plane.
