Poker run, lacrosse, duck fundraiser and more highlight weekend activities around Carson City area

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region. The American Cancer Society is hosting a poker run Saturday at Mills Park, and a free lacrosse clinic for kids ages 6-12 will be held at John L. Harvey Field. The Nevada Humane Society is virtually hosting its annual “Adopt a Duck” fundraiser for interested participants. Genoa Lakes Ladies' Golf Club President's Cup tournament results

The annual Genoa Lakes Ladies’ Golf Club President’s Cup tournament took place July 14 and July 16 at the Genoa Lakes Golf Club Ranch and Lake courses. Thirty members competed in the two-day net tournament. Jeri Mihelic won the tournament with a net score of 142. Gail Teig was the runner-up with a score of 143 and Terri Ianiro was the 3rd place winner with a score of 147.
