Carson City Wine Walk could return in July
Even with the Phase 2 opening set to begin Friday, the Carson City Wine Walk will hold off on their monthly event until at least July.
According to Downtown Business Association President Mike Riggs, the board met last week and made the decision to do a “virtual wine walk” for June.
“Phase 2 was just announced (Tuesday) night,” said Riggs. “We’re going to stand by our decision made last week. The Wine Walk averages 500 people, and we know we have at least 100 that show up for the after party.”
Organizers are hoping to be able to get back onto a modified wine walk in July, based on Gov. Sisolak's phase 2 orders.
According to the website, the June Wine Walk will be a virtual General Membership Meeting held via Zoom on June 4.
The Downtown Throw Down has also been rescheduled to July 11.
