On Saturday, Oct. 1, the Carson City Wine Walk was taken over by spooky patrons wandering downtown in their funky Halloween costumes.

November Wine Walk, bike tour, craft fair and more highlight weekend events around Carson City

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. This Saturday, Oct. 3, the Carson City Wine Walk will be returning to the capital city for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, with new safety rules in place to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The downtown Carson City wine walk is back this Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online ONLY at www.ccwinewalk.brownpapertickets.com. TICKETS ARE LIMITED. Tickets must be purchased by noon on the day of the event. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD IN PERSON.

Stroll Downtown Carson City and enjoy wine poured from participating businesses. This is a perfect opportunity to experience everything the Downtown has to offer while participating businesses present special deals, entertainment and a variety of wines.

Nevada Authors, Sandie La Nae and Special Works Historian Arline La Ferry will be presenting their "WEIRD Carson City" volume at Morley's bookstore on Saturday July 6, 2019.

This book is one in their "WEIRD" series, with each volume filled with all sorts of trivia, fun facts, and fascinating information about our Capital town. La Nae states: "Over 260 pages of forgotten or lost history, present day information, and a surprise at the end."

Author of 19 books so far, La Nae and La Ferry will be offering a special price on their book, as well as 'Author-graphs.'

Sandie La Nae will be the featured author Saturday, June 1 at Morley's Books located at 201 W. King Street in Carson City.

La Nae, author of 19 books, will be featuring her volume written about the historic building that Morley's Books is housed in, "Wells Fargo Office."

Other books Sandie will be selling of her historic volumes include Buckland Station, St. Charles Hotel, Genoa Bar, Alpine Hotel in Markleeville, and those from her "WEIRD" series about Carson City, Reno, and Virginia City.
