A 39-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer among multiple offenses after attempting to attack a deputy with a knife, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team report.

On Sunday morning a pair of balloonists meandered across the skies of Carson City. Coming from the southeast they were eventually lost behind the trees heading toward Silver Oak Golf Course.

The balloonists were able to get in a last good view over Carson City on Mother's Day and ahead of a change in the weather beginning Monday.

Nevada governor to announce Phase 1 opening date and plans today at 3 p.m.

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak will provide information and a re-opening date for Nevada as part of the Phase 1, Roadmap to Recovery plan.
