Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region. The Nevada Day Golf Tournament in remembrance of Mayor Bob Crowell will be held at Silver Oak Ranch Golf Course on Saturday. Dozens of fundraisers, including the Benson’s Feed 4 Paws 4-H group, will be scattered throughout the Carson City and Gardnerville areas. Our youth group, 4 PAWS 4-H Dog Club, is selling homemade, natural dog biscuits in sizes large, medium, and small. All proceeds go to 4-Paws Dog Club of Carson City.

The teachers of CHS are asking if this is still true? Of course it is. Men, women, and children of Carson City are encouraged to purchase a T-shirt to support both breast cancer awareness and CHS teacher Kelly Gustafson, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

CARSON CITY — V&T Railway is celebrating Halloween with family-friendly and spooky railbike rides. Running Friday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 31, V&T Railway will offer children and adult focused haunted railbike rides at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.

Carson City Children’s Museum fundraiser hosted at Piazza Bar Tuesday, Sept. 29

A fundraiser for the Children’s Museum in Carson City will be held this upcoming Tuesday at Piazza Bar, to help with their funding shortage due to COVID-19.

The cost is $39 per person, and 25 percent of all proceeds will go to the museum.
