Youth from around Nevada learn crafts, life skills at Tahoe summer camp

During a break at the Nevada Statewide Youth Summer Camp, Tyler Murray of Silver Springs tossed a football around a small circle of campers.

While he said he enjoyed the activities, he mostly appreciated the sense of connection he’s felt and the lessons learned about being vulnerable.

The Carson City Fair is returning for its third year this month, and it’s bringing big changes and several new events to its roster including a demolition derby, American Ninja Farmer contests, jello eating contests, animal auctions, and more.

Registration is now open for the Sky Dome Planetarium coming to the Carson City Community Center gymnasium on Friday. The Mobile Ed Productions planetarium has been rescheduled after being canceled in June.
