Carson City wins Levitt Amp Concert Series Grant for Fifth Straight Year

Today, the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation named Carson City, Nevada as one of 20 small to mid-sized towns and cities across America to win a Levitt AMP Grant Award of $25K in matching funds to present a free concert series at The Change Companies Stage. The Brewery Arts Center submitted Carson City’s Levitt AMP proposal.

The project team is pleased to announce the completion of the project design after nearly a year of design progression since the initial public kick-off meeting on December 11, 2018. The 2020 Denim and Diamonds fundraiser is set for Saturday, Feb. 29 at Casino Fandango's Grand Ballroom in Carson City. All proceeds benefit Austin's House, our local non-profit children's shelter. The shelter cares for children ages infant to 18 who have been removed from their homes due to neglect or abuse.

This year's gala event features a fabulous dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing to the music of DJ Steven ROCKS. Tickets are available for $65 or $125.

Seventh Annual 'Empty Bowls' in Carson City kicks off Saturday evening

The annual Empty Bowls fundraising night is underway and will continue throughout Saturday night.

Empty Bowls is an “international grassroots effort” to fight hunger around the world.

In our local community, volunteers work throughout the year to create handcrafted bowls. Each year, hundreds of bowls are crafted in Carson City for the purpose of the fundraiser.
